NORTONVILLE – John Washington Cobb, 75, of Nortonville, died Tuesday, September 15, 2026 at 5:45PM at his residence. Mr. Cobb was born in Madisonville. He was a member of Good Hope Church in Nortonville. He retired as a Groundman for WNR Tree Service. He loved everyone and would do anything for them. He loved fishing, hunting, and sitting in his yard. He enjoyed life, and more than anything he loved his family and grandkids. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nadine Cobb; sons, Earl Stanley, Gene Stanley; father, Charlie Cobb; and mother, Vannie Cobb.

He is survived by his sons, Jason (Michelle) Cobb, Rodney (Sharon) Clark, Danny Stanley, Ray Stanley; daughter, Cindy (Clinton) Gipson; brother, Morton Cobb; sisters, Rosie Gibson, Nina Cobb; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Monday, September 21, 2026 at 12PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Bro. Eddie Rogers officiating. Burial in New Salem Cemetery.
