Gwen, I am so sorry about the passing of John. He and Phil are commiserating about their softball games in the late 70’s right now. Both Phil and I loved to be around both your mom and dad so much. I guess the last time I saw your Dad was at your mom’s funeral. So hate that time and distance get in the way of maintaining close relationships when you move away. I’m sure Phil was glad to ‘welcome his old friend’! My thoughts and prayers are with you, Gwen.

Gwen, We are so sorry to hear of your dad’s passing. I first met your dad when we were in the Army Reserves together. We also enjoyed all those many band trips with your parents when Kara and Courtney were in the band with you. Your family are in our prayers at this difficult time. Rodney and Sandy Poe Lexington, Ky

I loved coming to Central City and Greenville in the summers to spend time with my cousins and grandparents. Muhlenberg County holds very special memories for me over the years. I'm so glad I was able to make the trip a couple of years ago with my sister Chris and brother Greg to bring my parents ashes to Mount Pisgah Church in Bremen and spend time with my cousins Jim, Debbie, Mike and John. John was so warm and generous and also funny - he made me laugh. He arranged for us to play golf together and we all got together for a great supper and got to spend time with Gwen too. I have nothing but warm and loving feelings and memories of John and Betty Jon.

Condolences to the family. I served with John in the Army Reserves since the 1970’s and considered him a good friend. Often had breakfast with him in Madisonville. Went to school with Betty Jon when she was in Providence. She was a year ahead of me. She was a great lady. Kidded John about marrying up! He agreed! He will be missed! RIP John!
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

My condolences to his family. I had the extreme pleasure of knowing this man and just being around him. He was one of the reason I stayed apart of the Littleleague organization that he enjoyed. They were never a dull moment when you were around him. Say hi to Tony and Glenn for me while your up there laughing at us down here!!!!

John or JR as he was lovingly called, was someone we will never forget. We loved him dearly. We stayed at the same trailer park in Kissimmee, FL and the 2 John's were the life of the party. One would try to outdo the other. We had such good times and have great memories. Will never forget when he came to Canada to visit us. Our deepest condolences to Gwen, Sharon and the rest of the family. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
