John was of my best friends in high school. John, James Culver and I always hung around together. We were like The Three Musketeers. We did a lot of horsing around but we never got into any trouble. Some time after graduation John and I went Dove hunting on his 750 Honda motorcycle. He drove and I sat behind him with our shotguns on my legs. We both got several Doves that day. When John and Dianne got married James and I were ushers. Well during the time of eating after the service we went out to where John’s car and proceeded to decorate it up with white shoe polish. I had the bright idea of painting his tires with white shoe polish. And you know what white shoe polish is not easily cleaned off tires. I thought John was going to poke me in the nose but we ended up having a good laugh over it. Well one of these days I’ll meet John in Heaven. I really miss John. My buddy, my pal, my friend of mine.
