SOUTH CARROLLTON – Joetta “Jodi” Shelton, 72, of South Carrollton, died Saturday, January 3, 2026 at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. Ms. Shelton was born April 29, 1953 in Muhlenberg County. She was a Homemaker and a member of Nelson Creek Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bobby Jo and Betty Sallee; brothers, Bobby Jo Sallee, Jr. and Billy Ray Sallee.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, David Shelton; daughter, Shea (Barry) Davis; grandsons, Jake Davis (Emily Jenkins), and Nolan Davis (Kandra); great-grandson, Sam Davis; great-granddaughter on the way; special friend, Lori Kennedy; and sisters, Janette Carter, and Josephine Welborn.

Funeral services will be Wednesday January 7, 2026 at 12PM at Nelson Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Central City with Bro. Tim Adcock officiating. Burial in Nelson Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10AM-12PM at the church. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com. Tucker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
