DRAKESBORO – Jimmy Wayne Gardner, 57, of Drakesboro, died Wednesday, September 4, 2019, at 6:12PM at his home. Mr. Gardner was born December 23, 1961, in Chicago, IL. He attended Richardson Chapel Baptist Church and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his father, James Gardner; brother David Lee Gardner; sister Barbara Jean Mayes; and grandparents John and Elenor Garrett. He is survived by his daughter, Whitney Copous (Josh Hearld) of Lexington; sons Justin Gardner of Cookeville, TN and Cory Mattingly of Owensboro; sisters Rita Dukes, Diana (James W.) Baskerville, Bonnie Baskerville, and Jeanette Turner; mother Wilma Jean (Tommy) Austin; granddaughters Taegan and Taelyn Copous; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be Monday, September 9, 2019, at 11:00AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Bro. Larry Lile officiating, assisted by Bro. Scott Casebier.
