To the family: May the comfort from family and friends strengthen you during this difficult time, and may you find comfort in the words found in the Holy Scriptures: "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."

Vaughn family, I'm so sorry for your loss. I will miss "HOSS" very much. I had the privilege of working with him for the last five years. Jimmie made going to work everyday fun, because something unforgetable was going to happen just about any time I was around him. Hoss came by my house about 2 months ago and my wife and I had a nice visit with him. My wife fell in love with him instantly. How could you not love a man with a heart so big? He called my kids and sang "happy birthday" to them on their birthdays. He called his mom almost every day from work to check on her and he allways told her he loved her. He also spoke of how much he missed his father and I could tell that they had a special relationship. He was so proud of all of his kids and adored his grandkids. Linda was Hoss's world. My deepest symathy goes out to all of you and if you need anything, please let me know.

My first job was at Gas Lite cafe in Fairdealing Ky and Hoss was my very first customer. He let me know right away what I was doing wrong. I was alright with that I was only 14 years old at the time. I am now 30. He was also a member of the VFW Post 1084 in Benton and I was a member of the Lady's Aux. and Hoss was a member there and when I was of age to be in there I reconected with him. I relized he was a great man who loved anyone. He will truly be missed by me. I know I will miss him at least I have the memory of this great man.

My earliest memory of Jimmie is during our high school years when we were seniors in English class, you sat behind me. One time when you misbehaved Ms Lovett had you to stand in an iron man cross with books on your hands. another time she had you to write a paper on "the love life of a golf ball". Years later I would see you at Marquita's Place's, you were always the first one to say hi. Class reunions will not be the same.

Jimmie and I rode to school together the last two years of high school. I always said I was taking my life in my hands to ride with Jimmie. My mother thought he was a saint... if only she knew. We had some of the best times. Jimmie always called to tell me happy birthday because we shared one. I would never have thought he would be gone at ths age. He will be greatly missed and the stories we all told about him. I will miss you Jimmie. To the family he was one of a kind but you knew that. I will be praying for you and your loss.

Evelyn & Rickey, Our prayers are with you, both, today and in the days to come. May God's Grace touch your lives, as only He can do. Many memories of Hoss through the years - there are more stories to tell about him and Red Owens than there is time in the day. These memories will just become sweeter and sweeter as the days pass. I talked to Hoss a couple of months ago when he came into the office to pay his mom's utility bills. It was just like it always was in the past - loud, lots of laughter and a few old memories thrown in also. Jimmy was a very sweet person - I think some of my favorite stories about him came from my brother - don't know who had the funniest versions - I"m sure they are laughing , together, today. May God bless you in a very special way.

Thoughts of Jimmie bring smiles to faces. His high school antics were most entertaining and he would always tell on himself. Jimmie was one of those guys who made memories everyday and you can't have a SMHS reunion without someone saying, "Do you remember when Jimmie Vaughn..." Sympathy to the entire family.
