Jewel Ray Collier, age 83, of Central City, died Thursday, January 16, 2025, in Hanson. Jewel was born March 22, 1941, in Muhlenberg County and was a machinist at the Tennessee Valley Authority and a member of Cherry Hill Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Jewel loved to talk your leg off with stories and jokes and was an avid U.K. basketball fan and hardly ever missed a televised game. He was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Collier and parents, Delmore and Flora Mae Collier; brother, Delmore Collier, Jr.
Left to cherish his memory is his children, Alan (Lisa) Collier of Belton; Patricia (Harlan) Wiles of Central City; Alicia (Neal) Garrett of Beechmont; Troy (Patti) Collier of Henderson and Suzi (James) Temple of Fordsville; grandchildren, James Payne (Carolyn), Tamara Jenkins, Kiley Murphy (P.J.), Shelby (David) Mudd, Brittney Raymer (Brian), Courtney Patterson (Steven), Cody (Tequila) Latham; Amber Rosser (Kristan), Breanna Collier, Flora Collier, Dillon (Stephanie) Hall, Dakota (Kerstin) Temple, Brandon (Elizabeth) Temple; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; brother, Raymond Edgar Collier.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Bro. Scott Casebier officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Penrod.
