CENTRAL CITY – Jesse James Smith Sr., 57, of Central City, died Monday, November 13, 2023 at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. Mr. Smith was born August 3, 1966 in Louisville, KY. He enjoyed fishing, playing games, swimming, watching wrestling, visiting family and friends, and cooking. He was of the Baptist Faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Margie Smith; sisters, Judy and Linda; and brothers, Jerry and Michael.

He is survived by his son, Jesse James Smith Jr., daughter, Ruby (Nate) Purvis; grandchildren, Josh, Emily, Haley, and Olivia; brothers, Stevie (Beverly), and Johnny (Sissy); sisters, Wanda, Rita, Tootsie; several nieces and nephews; and his dog, Chance.

Funeral services will be Thursday, November 16, 2023 at 12PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Bro. Todd Cartwright officiating. Burial in Old Bethel Cemetery in Greenville. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-8PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
