GREENVILLE – Jerry Summers Hahn, 84, of Greenville, Kentucky went to his heavenly home on Friday, February 27, 2026 surrounded by family at the HPC Heartford House in Owensboro, Kentucky. Jerry was born in Muhlenberg County on April 30, 1941. He was preceded in death by his parents, James P. Hahn and Sarah S. Hahn; and brother, James N. Hahn (Catherine).
He is survived by his beloved wife of twelve years, Helen McSpedden Hahn; sister, Mary Lane Ward (Gary); sons, Kevin P. Hahn, and Richard D. Hahn (Tina); stepson, David Chappell (Dr. Kristy Chappell); grandchildren, Adam Hahn, Sarah Hahn, Chandler Wells, Garrett Wells, Ty Chappell, and many dear nieces and nephews.
He graduated from the University of Cincinnati and worked as an aerospace engineer at Arnold Engineering Development Center and NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center. Jerry was a member of the Greenville United Methodist Church. He was a huge fan of Kentucky Wildcat Basketball (Go Big Blue) and Alabama Crimson Tide Football (Roll Tide). Jerry had a great love for animals including his cat and three Siberian Huskies.
Memorial services will be Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 1PM at the Greenville United Methodist Church located at 144 North Main Street, Greenville, Kentucky with Pastor Brandon Buchanan officiating. Burial will be at Unity Church Cemetery located at Unity Farm Lane, Graham, Kentucky. Visitation will be Saturday from 11AM until the time of the service at 1PM.
