POWDERLY: Jerry Wayne Piper, 67, of Powderly , died Friday, April 20, 2018 at his residence. Mr. Piper was born September 23, 1950 in Muhlenberg County. He was a retired coal miner with Peabody Coal Co. and a member of Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a grandson Calob Piper. He is survived by his sons, Jeremy Piper of Greenville, Darrick(Joyce)Piper of Beechmont, and Patrick(Amber)Piper of Greenville; and a daughter Jennifer(Darrell) Garrett; grandchildren Monika Piper, Cody Piper, Mikalah Piper, Tori Garrett, Madeline Bryant, Zachariah Piper, Hezekiah Piper, Jacob Garrett and Miles Piper; great-grandchildren Hayden Chandler, Ryder Cloud, Raylynn Cloud and Maggie Jo Suttle; brother Garland Piper, sisters Mildred Scott and Ann Bowen. Funeral services will be Monday, April 23, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Cody Crowell officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens in Powderly.
