I will never forget Rev Jim and Daisy Watts. They came to our little eastern Kentucky church to help with bible school in 1968. He led me to Christ that summer at the age of 8 and also my sister Brigitte at the age of 6. I remember Daisy as a sweet, pretty lady that always looked like sunshine. She was beautiful and Rev Jim had kind eyes and explained Jesus to me in a way that no one had before. I still remember that day like it was yesterday, the day I was saved. Thank you Rev Jim for your service to the Lord.

Daisy, Thelma and Jim Jr., I have wonderful memories of you and Uncle Jim visiting us at the farm near Cromwell and then our trips to your place in Livermore and I think, Morganfield?. There was the all day trip to the Mammoth Cave, and of course, the tractor incident on the farm. His sermons and stories and jokes (yours too Jim Jr.) were always enjoyable to hear. I'm so glad to have spent a little time with you and Uncle Jim this past May. May your fond memories ease the sorrow. Alan and Fe

Mrs. Daisy & family, Been praying for you. I have always had so much respect for Bro. Watt. He certainly contributed to my growth as a Christian, while he was at Livermore. He was something! I remember so many stories. One he told he was asked what he thought about women wearing make-up. He replied, "I think every old barn looks better with a coat of paint". Then there was the sermon title he 'borrowed', "Sin always takes you farther than you want to go. Sin always keeps you longer than you want to stay. Sin always costs more than you want to pay." He challenged me as a young adult to remain faithful to my God & because of that, I say as he so often said, "I THANK MY GOD OF EVERY REMEMBRANCE OF YOU." God bless you & yours. Lynn(Jarvis) & Craig Walker

Allison Summers left a message on January 2, 2011:
Bro. Watt and Mrs. Daisy have been long time friends of my parents, Ray and Marilyn Collins. He always treated me as a good friend too. When my first child, Grace, was born, my parents and I traveled to see them in Greenville. I remember how overjoyed they were to see us. Right before we left, Bro. Watt prayed the most beautiful blessing over my daughter, Grace. He was a treasure of a man and will forever be implanted in my heart and mind. I will always remember his warm spirit and luminous smile. He will be missed tremendously.

Deeply saddened about Jim's passing. Remembering him and his sister Thelma as close childhood friends at Curdsville. He was like a brother to us, very sweet and caring. Enjoyed many meals at our house. Our mom thought the world of him. Last time I saw him was around 1996, when he performed a wedding at Curdsville Baptist Church(was not a pastor at there, at that time). We were Jim" deceased", and Dianne Hallmark. My deepest sympathy to his beloved wife Pat, daughters, and family. His suffering is over and he is forever with the Lord.
