GREENVILLE – James Douglas “Beetle” Piper, 78, of Greenville, died Monday, February 27, 2012 at 8:55PM at his home. Mr. Piper was born June 1, 1933 in Muhlenberg County. He was a factory worker and member of New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents, Estil and Gustava Piper; son Jeff Piper; and brother Estil Ray Piper. Survivors include his wife, Jo Ann Vincent Piper; sons Charles (Delana) Piper of Ingram, Texas and Mike (Cindy) Piper of Kerrville, Texas; daughters Kim (Everett) Moore of Marble Falls, Texas and Lolly (Terry) Parker of Ingram, Texas; brother Doris Waldo Piper of Greenville; 11 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 3 step-children; and 3 step-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Friday, March 2, 2012 at 11:00AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Danny Epley officiating, assisted by Rev. E.W. Greenwalt.
