CENTRAL CITY – James H. Leach, Sr., 84, of Central City, passed away Friday, October 5, 2012 at 12:57AM at his home. Mr. Leach was born April 21, 1928 in Muhlenberg County. He was retired from Kentucky Utilities, Green River Plant, and was a member of First United Methodist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during WWII and recalled back during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hinton and Gladys Leach. Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Patsy Bruce Leach; daughters Janet Baker of Central City and Patricia Leach of Owensboro; sons James H. (Nancy) Leach Jr. of Romeoville, IL and Jeffrey T. (Karen) Leach of Owensboro; sisters Sue Lois Reed of Illinois and Judy (Bob) England of Michigan; grandchildren Brian (Dana) Baker, Julia Baker, Jennifer and James E. Leach, Scott, Lucas, Nick, and Autumn Leach, and Nadia and Kaylie Leach; great-grandchildren Jacob and Cambria Baker, Tian Jenkins, Emma Newberry, and William Leach; and lots of nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be Monday, October 8, 2012 at 11:00AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Leroy Rearden officiating. Burial in Highway Cemetery.
