DRAKESBORO – James Junior Bratcher, age 83, died Friday, July 12, 2024, at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital. James was born October 15, 1940, and was retired from Brewco as a welder, fabricator and body shop worker. He was a member of Pentecostal of Muhlenberg. He loved his family, watching birds and squirrels, working on vehicles, racing, playing guitar, going to church and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents Getta and Mildred Bratcher; sisters, Mary Nell Lear, Vicky Brewer, Linda Houle and Betty Jean Hardison; brothers, Bobby Joe Bratcher, Rickey Bratcher, Jeffery Bratcher, Harold Bratcher.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife Virginia Carol Bratcher; children, Richie (Sondie) Bratcher; Crystal Barefield, Kelly (Crystal) Bratcher; Ruby Putnam, Matthew Brown, Jackie Bowen; Grandchildren, Sierra Hammond Samatha Ditto, Candace Brooks, Brenton Newman, Chase Barefield; Great-Grandchildren Declan Ditto, Alivia Ditto, Hudson Ditto, Lilly Hammond, Christian Vaether, River Brooks, Baer Brooks; brothers, Billy (Ludy) Bratcher; Tommy (Debbie) Bratcher, Jerry (Jeanetta) Bratcher; sister, Carolyn Whittaker.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Bro. Brian Neighbors officiating. Burial will follow in Highway Cemetery in Drakesboro.
