OWENSBORO – James Earl Hickerson, 84, of Owensboro, died Sunday, June 3, 2018, at 1:15AM at his home. Mr. Hickerson was born October 23, 1933, in McLean County. He was retired from Alcoa as a crank operator and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was also a member of Sacramento Masonic Lodge, Madisonville Shriners, and was commander of Owensboro VFW Post. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Geneva Hickerson. He is survived by his wife, Jeannette Joines Hickerson; son James Eric (Michelle) Hickerson of Hartford; grandchild Graham Hickerson; and sister Joan Emery of Sacramento. Funeral services will be Thursday, June 7, 2018, at 1:00PM at Tucker Memorial Chapel in Sacramento, with Bro. Mike Rust officiating. Burial in Bethlehem Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-8PM at the funeral home. Masonic services will be held on Wednesday at 6:00PM at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Ohio County Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
