GREENVILLE – James Edward Embry, age 87, of Greenville, died Friday, May 31, 2024, at Hillside Center in Madisonville.  James was born in Muhlenberg County on June 29, 1936, and was a member of the Church of God.  He was retired from Super Value as a packer.  He enjoyed all outdoor activities including gardening and hunting; loved being around his grandchildren and watching Kentucky basketball.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Embry, daughter, Karen Leach and parents, Ernest and Lucy Embry.

Survivors include his son, Kevin (Sarah) Embry of Greenville; brothers, Louis (Marilyn) Embry of Madisonville and Frankie (Sherry) Embry of Beechmont; sister, Brenda (Bob) Hodges of Hartford and Lorie Beliles of Central City; grandchildren, Alex Embry, Justin Embry, Scott Lucas, Nick and Autumm Leach; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for James will be Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Tucker Funeral Home with Bro. Louis Embry officiating.  Burial will follow in Nebo cemetery in Greenville.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. till 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.  Tucker Funeral Home has been entrusted with Mr. Embry’s care.  Online condolences can be made at www.tuckerfuneralhome.com.
