CENTRAL CITY – James “Jimmie” Clyde Tyson, Jr., 78, of Central City, died Sunday, July 21, 2024, at 1:03PM at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. Mr. Tyson was born November 3, 1945, in Muhlenberg County. He was a retired school bus driver for the Muhlenberg County Board of Education and a member of Temple Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the National Guard. Mr. Tyson enjoyed cars, motorcycles, golf carts, water skiing, and snow skiing. He was a pilot, and enjoyed playing tennis and scuba diving. He was preceded in death by his father, James Clyde Tyson, Sr.; and mother, Birch Tyson.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Drennon Tyson; daughter, Cindy (Joe) Vincent; grandchildren, Allie (Will) Billingsley, Tyler Vincent, and Taylor Vincent; and sister, Kellie (TJ) Broom.
Funeral services will be Thursday, July 25, 2024, at 11:00AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Bro. Coty Stanley officiating. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-8PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
