CENTRAL CITY- James Brad Wood II, 37, of Central City died Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Mr. Wood was born in Muhlenberg County on November 13, 1987. He was an operator for Logan Aluminum and a member of Union Chapel Church. Mr. Wood loved fishing, hunting, and UK basketball. His world was his son, Gavin James Wood and his family. Blake Peace and Justin Rolley were his best friends. Mr. Wood is preceded in death by his birth mother, Mary Gatto; grandfathers, Jimmy Wood, Rob Gatto, Printis Mayes, Liz Mayes.

Survivors include his father, James Brad Wood Sr.; son, Gavin James Wood; mother, Laura Wood; brothers, Shane Evetts, Jonathan Wood; sisters, Tiffany (Chad) Moore, Julia Wood, Brittany Haney, Bethany Wood, Autumn (Taylor) Martin; grandmother, Margaret Wood, Becky Gatto; several nieces and nephews and aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 22, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Bro. Robert Lindsay officiating. Burial will be private. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 22, 2025, from 10:00 AM- 12:00 PM at the funeral home. The family request that expressions of sympathy be made to the James B. Brad was a one of a kind guy. I am happy to have all the memories we made together when we were younger. He helped mold me into the woman that I am today. His family was always so welcoming to me and my family. Time spent with him, was time well spent. Fly high, my guy. 🖤

Seeing him at the bait shop and see him with his son Gavin he was truly an amazing person inside and out and a great friend too.
