J.T. Roll Published: Tuesday, June 8, 2010 12:14 AM CDT CENTRAL CITY — J.T. Roll, 91, of Central City, died at 6:22 a.m. Monday, June 7, 2010, at Muhlenberg Community Hospital, Greenville. He was born March 20, 1919, in Muhlenberg County. He attended Nelson Creek Baptist Church and was a retired coal miner and farmer. He was a U.S. Marine and veteran of World War II. Survivors include his sons, Joseph D. Roll and his wife, Johanna of Whiteford Md., Thomas A. Roll, and companion, Kathy Taylor of Bowling Green, Clarence L. Roll and wife, Connie of Louisville, and John Randall Roll of Smiths Grove; daughters, Anna Snooks and husband, Joe of Roundhill, Rebecca Lindsey of Bowling Green and Kim Poteet and husband, Bobby of Bowling Green; eight grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; a sister, Jewell Dell Roll of Owensboro. Services are at 11 a.m. Thursday at Tucker Funeral Home. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation after 5 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
