DRAKESBORO – Ivan “Wayne” Ward, 69, of Drakesboro, died Thursday, October 19, 2023, at 6:02PM in Lewisburg.  Mr. Ward was born October 28, 1953, in Greenville.  He was a truck driver for Zackery Tree Services and of the Baptist faith.  Mr. Ward loved animals, especially chickens, rabbits, turkeys, and dogs, and he enjoyed hunting.  Attending auctions was his favorite past time.  He was preceded in death by his father, Ivan Neil Ward; mother, Nora Lee Ward; daughter, Heather Nell Ward; and sisters, Rosa Lee Dennis, Dianna Kay Zimmerman, Mary Dean Tate, and Barbara Neil Vaught.

He is survived by his sons, Randall Lewis (Stephanie) Ward of Drakesboro and Timothy Aaron Ward of Tacoma, WA; sisters, Teresa (Kim) Brand and Alisa Chambers; grandchildren, Randall Lewis Ward II, Alexia Jade Ward, Celina Marie Ward, Isis Maria Ward, and Ivan Lee Ward; several nieces and nephews; and best friend, John Barnes.

Funeral services will be Sunday, October 22, 2023, at 2:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Mike Rambo officiating.  Burial in Nebo Cemetery.  Visitation will be Sunday after 11:00AM at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
