CENTRAL CITY – Ida Janice Watkins, 86, of Central City died Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at 7:46PM at her residence. Ms. Watkins was born on April 11, 1939 in Dyess, Arkansas. She was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church and worked as a CNA for Sparks Nursing Home. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and working in her yard. She loved going to church and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Earl Watkins; and son, William Douglas Watkins.

She is survived by her daughter, Gloria Coats (Tim); son, Joey Watkins; six grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and nineteen great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Friday, March 13, 2026 at 11AM at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Central City with Bro. Mike Graber officiating. Burial in Coleman Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-8PM and Friday after 8AM at the church. Tucker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
