SACRAMENTO – Hugh Elmore Osborne, 97, of Sacramento, died Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 9:11PM at Marka Nursing Home in Mascoutah, Illinois.  Mr. Osborne was born September 4, 1926, in Hanson, KY.  He was a retired coal miner for Peabody Coal Co., and a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.  He was also a U.S. Army veteran.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Osborne; and parents, Ernest and Pearl Osborne.

He is survived by his daughter, Linda (Dwight) Son of O’Fallon, IL; son, Willis (Pat) Osborne; grandchildren, Brian (Bridgette) Osborne, Brandon (Wendy) Osborne, and Caitlyn Thompson; and sister, Laverne McCain.

Graveside funeral services will be Friday, May 17, 2024, at 10:00AM at Bethlehem Cemetery in Bremen, with Mack Scott officiating.  Burial to follow.  Visitation will be Thursday from 5-8PM at Tucker Memorial Chapel on Sacramento.  Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
