GREENVILLE – Hershel Allen Drake, 85, of Greenville, died Thursday, December 28, 2023 at 8:40AM at his residence. He was born May 25, 1938 in Muhlenberg County. He was of the Christian faith and worked as a Logger and a Minister. He was very faith-oriented. He loved his family and was very strong in his beliefs. He spent a lot of time outdoors hunting and with his dogs. He maintained a great garden and loved to spend time in the dirt. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Drake; son, Doug Drake; and daughter, Rita Drake.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Lynn Drake; daughters, Wanda (Bill) Cashmer of Sikeston, MO, Deanna (Martie) Fleming of Bremen, KY, and Sandra Coy of Depoy, KY; stepson, Jimmy (Andrea) Higgs of Greenville; brother, Russell Drake of South Carrollton, KY; sister, Mary Schroader of Owensboro, KY; 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be Sunday, December 31, 2023 at 1:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Bro. J.W. Haire officiating. Burial in Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 11AM-1PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
