OWENSBORO – Herschel Lee Brown, 83, of Owensboro, died Saturday, October 19, 2024 at 10:10PM at Maple Health and Rehab. in Greenville. Mr. Brown was born March 12, 1941 in Owensboro. He was of the Christian faith, attended Luzerne General Baptist Church, worked as a carpenter, and was a U.S. Army veteran. He enjoyed woodworking, spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He loved the 3 C’s: coffee, cigarettes, and chocolate. His passion was Bingo, cards, and pool. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Jean Randolph Brown; and parents, Clarence and Francis Brown.

He is survived by his four children, William (Kena) Brown, Debbie (John) Evitts, Tony (Danielle) Brown, and Dusty Brown; grandchildren, Kaleb (Erika) Evitts, Stephanie (Ricky) Lee, Amber Brown, Madison (Charles) Baize, Katlyn (Miranda) Mendoza, and Drew (Dakota) Mendoza; great-grandchildren, Hazel, Henry, Harlee, Bella, Kainan, Layton, Layne, and Westyn; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be Thursday, October 24, 2024 at 10AM at Highway Cemetery in Drakesboro. Burial to follow. Tucker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
