CENTRAL CITY – Harrison Edward Dean, 84, of Central City, died Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at 4:46AM at his residence. Mr. Dean was born March 30, 1938 in East Lynn, West Virginia. Mr. Dean was a great husband, a very loving father and grandfather, and mentor to all of his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his two sons, William Billy Dean, and Patrick Francis; parents, Lyndsey, and Bessie Dean; five sisters, and three brothers.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Diane Rose Simpkins Dean; two daughters, Joyce Lavon Mitchell, and Rose Francis; and four grandchildren, Jessica Mitchell, Julie Greska, Mark Roe, and Luke Roe; four great-grandchildren; namesake and favorite nephew, John Edward Dean; two special nephews who worked for him, Randy Blackburn, and Donnie Blackburn; and multiple nieces, nephews, and cousins.
