Sorry about Roadblocks passing. I've know him since the 80s. I used to be in trouble all the time back then. I escaped from Greenville jail and he was there when I escaped. I was in the woods and he was so close to me. I was lying along side a fallen tree. He yelled "Johnjy, I know your in here.If you dont come out, I'm gonna pop a cap in your a**" I thought that was funny and almost laughed because he had to see me first to do that. Anyways, he was always good to me and arrested me alot. Never once did he disrespect me or treat me unfairly. He was a good man. Much prayers to family and friends.

Our best times were when we just ran into each other and shared a hug, a smile, and talked about the "old" and the "new". Our laughter sometimes turned into tears, but of joy, never sadness. We loved the get-together(s) of music, the singing and the playing of instruments. We will always remember the mouth harp solos...you playing a melody....ending in "Amazing Grace." Oh my! "Roadblock, we will miss you here on earth. But, praise God! The angels are singing, bells ringing, harps playing....and the sound of a new harmonica can be heard all over Heaven." We loved you. We love Kaye.

Roadblock you will be greatly missed by all. I can remember when you would sit on the square or come down to the strip to make sure all of us teenagers wasn't misbehaving. And if we was then we would hear a lecture from you. But I would like to thank you for keeping us on the right path. Fly high my friend.
