Owensboro – Harold Edward Burden, 68, of Owensboro, died Friday, December 26, 2025 at 12:53p.m. at Heartford House in Owensboro. Mr. Burden was born March 14, 1957, in Muhlenberg County. He was a retired janitor for K-Mart and he was of the Baptist faith. Harold enjoyed watching Kentucky ball games, working on cars and trucks, and watching wrestling. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Billie Burden; grandparents, Shirley and Nancy Burden, and Vernon and Gladys Shadowen; sisters, Vicky Gail Payton, and Sherry Arndell; and nephews, Jamie Burden, and Vernon Payton Jr.

He is survived by his son, Christopher “Chris” Burden; brother, Charles Burden; sisters, Barbara Hobgood, and Martha Grubbs; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be Monday, December 29, 2025, at 9:00a.m. at Fairmount Cemetery in Central City, with Jody Fleming officiating.  Burial to follow. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
