CALHOUN – Harlen Thomas Kennedy, Jr., 75, of Calhoun, died Friday, September 7, 2018, at 7:39AM at his home. Mr. Kennedy was born July 29, 1943, in Owensboro. He was a member of Millwright Local 1080, retiring after 53 years of service, and was a member of the first apprentice class. He loved his family and friends. He was around horses his whole life, and had his first pony when he was six years old. He loved to fish, boat, and camp. He was a member of Rockport Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by his mother, Nell Kennedy; father Harlen Thomas Kennedy Sr.; wife Brenda Kennedy; and step-mother Emma Rhea Kennedy. He is survived by his first wife, Beverly Kennedy; sons Robert (Jamie) Kennedy of Beaver Dam, Shane (Kim) Kennedy of Hartford, and Reggie (Michelle) Kennedy of Olaton; daughters Amiee Storm and Jessica Slack, both of Central City; grandchildren Alex, Michael, Madison, Emma, Caleb, Kelsey, Camryn, Carson, Charissa, Amanda, Kyler, Nickolas, and Kameron; great-grandchildren Ella Kate, Vivian, Levi, McKenzlee, Hadleigh, Hayden, Levi, Alaynna, Bryson, and Olivia; brothers John (Kelly) Kennedy and Paul (Jan) Walton; sister Peri (Bruce) Jacobson; special aunt Juanita Kennedy Park; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 11, 2018, at 10:00AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Lealin Geary officiating. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery.
