Hannelore Franziska Mayes GREENVILLE — Hannelore Franziska Mayes, 62, of Greenville died at 8:35 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010, at Muhlenberg Community Hospital. She was born April 23, 1947, in Lauingen, Germany. She was a teacher’s aide at Longest & Greenville Elementary, a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Central City and a Kentucky Colonel. Survivors include her husband, Rondal Mayes of Greenville; a son, Frank (Sandy) Mayes of Alabama; two daughters, Marilyn (Julian) Smith of Indiana and Brittany Mayes of Greenville; two grandchildren, Juliana and Jarrett Smith; and two sisters, Brigitte Gusbeth and Marianne Hanbeck, both of Germany. Services are at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Father Ben Luther officiating, assisted by the Rev. Gene McGehee. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery in Central City.
