CENTRAL CITY – Hallie Hancock Whitmer, age 87 of Central City died Friday, May 26, 2017 at her residence. She was born September 25, 1929 in Muhlenberg County and was a member of the First Baptist Church. Hallie was a retired small business owner and operator of Broadway Jewelry. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill Whitmer. Ms Whitmer is survived by her son Robert (Frances) Whitmer of Central City and daughter Bernida (Tom) Belcher of Hopkinsville; grandchildren Allison (Bruce) Beene, Andrea (Teddy) Foster, Nathan (Jody) Patterson, Evan Whitmer; great-grandchildren Daniel, Kelcey, Liam and Katie Beene; Grayson and Emma Foster; Bethaney, Levi, Abel and Zachariah Patterson. Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Rev. Chase Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, May 29, 2017 after 5 :00 PM at the funeral home. Expression of sympathy can be made to The Gideon’s International or The First Baptist Church Building Fund.
