Gordon Essie Miller 12/26/2008 SACRAMENTO — Gordon Essie Miller, 88, of Sacramento died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2008, at Regional Medical Center, Madisonville. He was born Jan. 29, 1920, in Muhlenberg County, was retired from L&N Railroad and was a member of Brier Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Bremen. He is survived by his wife, Minnie Shanks Miller; two daughters, Gloria Jean (Carlos) Phelps of Sacramento and Cynthia Lou (Bobby) Orten of Dawson Springs; four grandchildren, Dwain Orten, Jeffery Orten, Carl Phelps and Dina Rail; eight great-grandchildren, Brittney, K’Rhea, Erin, Alainie, Aliyah, Kobe, Grace and Emma; and three sisters, Eula Phillips of Sacramento, Louise Schrecker of Owensboro and Roxie Cunningham of Owensboro. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Saturday at Brier Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today and after 10 a.m. Saturday at the church. Tucker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
