GREENVILLE – Gerrie Faye Torres, 89, of Greenville, arrived at her heavenly home on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at 12:42PM under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky in Owensboro. Ms. Torres was born June 25, 1936 in Blytheville, Arkansas. She worked at the former Belle Haven Convalescence Home in Fresno, California with her life long best friend, Carolyn Roe. They remained friends their whole lives. She later worked and lived at the Fresno Masonic Temple for 20 years, and then retired to Kentucky. She loved spending time with her great-grandchildren in Kentucky. She loved cooking and tending to her flowers. She also loved going to the casino. She was preceded in death by her sons, Richard Andrews, and Perry Andrews; and her cat, Bella.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Rosanna Daher of California; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Gerald (Babs) Blanks, of California; sister, Glenda Robinson of Greenville, Kentucky; special grandson and caretaker, Nathen (Ashelynn) Andrews of Drakesboro, KY and great-grandchildren, Michael Andrews, and Ethen Andrews, both of Drakesboro, KY.
