GREENVILLE – Geraldine Fortney, 94, of Greenville, died Sunday, December 10, 2023 at 3:35PM at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. Ms. Fortney was born April 5, 1929 in Muhlenberg Co. She was a Homemaker and  lifelong member of Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church. She was a Naval wife for twenty-two years, and she enjoyed traveling, camping, cooking, and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dallas Fortney; and sisters, Norma Doss and Thelma Cox.

She is survived by her three children, Tony (Diane) Fortney, Mark (Debbie) Fortney, and Sandy (Dwight) Pendley, all of Central City; grandchildren, Chad Pendley, Troy Pendley, Andrea Pendley, Julie (Jonathan) Pendley, Katie (John) Ballance, Joe Fortney, Ryanne (Dave) Kurzen, Jacob (Brianne) Fortney, and Jillian (Andy) Southard; thirteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 11AM at Tucker Funeral Homes in Central City with Rev. Scott Casebier officiating. Burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
