Aunt Georgia Mae was the last of the Slayton family, her brother, Chester Louis Slayton (Slaton). I am her niece. Aunt Georgia Mae was a sweet, lovely Christian lady, with Class! Her Southern Style Hospitality was perfection! The home cooked meals prepared for us, with love, were all wonderful. The beautiful Quilts she created and stitched by hand are works of Art. All the family have a few quilts, we will treasure them forever. Aunt Georgia Mae will be truly missed by all who knew and love her. My mom was friends with Georgia, she thought the world of her. I think they met at the beauty shop. They enjoyed talking about their sewing and quilting. My mom did not get out a lot so I was so grateful for her friendship with Georgia I know it meant a lot to her.
