NORTONVILLE – Gene Matthew Stanley, 62, of Nortonville, died Sunday, March 8, 2020, at 5:27AM at Baptist Health in Madisonville. Mr. Stanley was born September 14, 1957, in Muhlenberg County. He worked at a lumber yard and was of the Christian faith. He loved to watch old western movies, and spend time with his children and grandchildren. He loved to people watch and will be missed by many. He was preceded in death by his mother, Nadine Cobb; father George Durham; and brothers Earl Stanley and Billy Joe Stanley. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Groves Stanley; children Ricky Stanley, Gary (Linda) Stanley, and Jacob Stanley; brothers Danny Stanley, Ray (Janice) Stanley, Jason Cobb, and Wayne (Sharon) Clark; sister Cindy Jarvis; step-father John Cobb; grandchildren Chole, Mason, Matt, Zach, Becky, Taylor, Christian, Stetson, Bradley, Madison, and Alex; and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be Friday, March 13, 2020, at 11:00AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Bro. Larry Fox officiating. Burial in Graham Hill Cemetery.
