DUNMOR- Gary Joe Shelton, 71, of Dunmor died Friday, December 29, 2023 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Mr. Shelton was born on July 7, 1952. He loved to stay busy with outside projects, remodeling homes, and spend time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mr. Shelton is preceded in death by his parents, Carol and Velma Shelton; brother, Danny Shelton.

Survivors include his wife, Bonita Shelton of Dunmor; daughter, Tijuana (David) Buchanan of Dunmor; sons, Jeff (Amy) Shelton of Dunmor, Gary (Amy) Shelton of Beech Creek; grandchildren, Kelsey, George, Taylor, Mallory, Alyssa, Karlee, Tally, Laynee, Hannah, Lilly; great grandchildren, Gannon, Hustyn, Serenity, Sonova; two sisters; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Tucker Beechmont Funeral Home with Kyle McPherson officiating. Burial will follow in Old Hebron Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 3, 2024 beginning at 9:00 AM at the funeral home. Online condolences can be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.

Gary was a great guy .I remember being hot one summer and he went and bought a air conditioner for us so we could be cool he was like a papaw to me when he told me he was sick I was devastated even though he was sick he always checked on me cause of my health issues Gary I'll never forget you ,you'll be missed greatly.
