CENTRAL CITY — Gary Alan Gamblin, 65, of Central City died at 8:50 a.m. Friday, March 4, 2011, at his home. He was born Dec. 6, 1945, in Hopkins County. He was a hotel manager, Baptist and Navy veteran. He was preceded in death by his father, Goldman Gamblin. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Keeling Gamblin of Central City; a daughter, Rhonda Strader of Central City; a son-in-law, Johnny Strader of Central City; a grandson, Nathan Strader of Central City; his mother, Kathleen Gamblin of Nortonville; a brother, Joseph Gamblin of Omaha, Neb.; three sisters, Brenda (Ronnie) Browning and Wytonia (Lynn) Wells, all of Nortonville, and Peggy Tackett of Madisonville; two sisters-in-law, Flo Duvall of Central City and Mary Coker of Panama City, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. Services are at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Brother Don Duncan officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Central City.
