Powderly – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gary Earl Robison, 82, at his home in Powderly, KY on September, 13, 2025. Â
While he lived in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky, for the majority of his life, Gary was born in Chicago, Illinois, on December 4th, 1942, to Garnett and Ava Baugh Robison.  He graduated from Muhlenberg Central High School and attended Bethel College where he famously played basketball against UK, a story he loved sharing. Â
In Gary’s early 20’s he married and that resulted in raising two beautiful children. He went onto marry his long-time love Linda Robison of 33 years.  Â
Gary was a very hard -working man who loved his family immensely! He spent most of his working life in the mines where he worked as a pumper and drove a UTE haul truck, while making cherished lifetime friends. His joy was found in working his farm and tending to his cattle. His greatest love was his family and his Lord, but his second love was UK basketball, men’s or women’s! We knew not to disturb him during a game.  Â
Though Gary disliked being the center of attention, he was happiest when he was with family and friends. His kindness and integrity are what he will be fondly remembered for by all of those that knew him.Â
Gary is survived by his wife, Linda; his children, Carol (David) Raskin, and Kerry (Marshele) Robison; his sister, Marilyn Bedell; his step-daughter, Michelle (Tony) Wheatley; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nephews.  Â
He was preceded in death by his parents; and step-daughters, Jennifer Taylor and Marisa Craig.  Â
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at 12p.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Bro. Curtis McGehee officiating and Bro. Ron Noffsinger assisting. Burial will be at Fitzhugh Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday beginning at 10a.m. at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.   Â
