CENTRAL CITY – Gary Charles “Moose” Booth, 47, of Central City, died Sunday, January 15, 2012 at 1:00AM in Sacramento. Mr. Booth was born November 17, 1964. He was a laborer with KRA, until he became disabled. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Gary graduated in 1982 from Bremen High School. He played basketball in high school, loved hunting, fishing, cooking, gardening, anything outdoors. He is best described as having a huge heart, and was a great friend. He was a big family man, putting his family before himself. He was always smiling, happy, with a positive outlook. He would do anything for anyone. He was known as “Moose” for his broad size, his build, and his eating habits. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Booth; and his mother, Faye Booth. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Booth; daughter Sarah (Steven) Boutcher of Owensboro; son Jarrod Booth of Central City; sister Shelia (Tim) Childress of Moorman; beloved granddaughter, Emily Boutcher, who loved her “papa”; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at 11:00AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Gary Taylor officiating. Burial in New Hope Cemetery in Moorman.
