CENTRAL CITY – Garland Lee Flener, 78, of Central City, died Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 2:30AM at his residence.  Mr. Flener was born January 27, 1948, in Muhlenberg County.  He was a carpenter.  He enjoyed fishing, eating good food, watching sports, and spending time with family.  He also enjoyed growing tomatoes.

He was preceded in death by his father, Garland Flener; mother, Allie Mae Rhodes Flener; brothers, William Ray Flener, Robert J. Flener, David Joe Flener, Walton Flener, Phillip Wayne Flener, and Ricky Flener; and sisters, Dorothy Mae Flener Williams, Betty Ann Flener Markwell, and Caroline Faye Flener Neal.

He is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 12:00 noon at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Bro. Eddie Anderson officiating.  Burial in New Hope Cemetery.  Visitation will be Thursday after 10:00AM at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
