Central City – Freddie Joe Penrod, age 79 of Central City, died on Friday September 16, 2022 at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville. He was born on March 14, 1943 in Muhlenberg County. He worked maintenance for Super Value and was a proud Army Veteran. Freddie was such a family man, all his available time was spent with family enjoying the outdoors. His dogs and cats were spoiled rotten. He is preceded in death by his parents Pandora and George Penrod, and his wife Beverly Penrod.

He is survived by his daughter Alita Morris of Central City, son Aaron (Devri) Penrod of Nashville, brother Sammie (Gloria) Penrod. Grandchildren Brittany, Jason, Jeremiah, and Gregory. great-grandchildren Tavie, Kelsey, Ryder and Drake.

Graveside services will be held on Monday September 19, 2022 at 2:00PM at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Central City with Bro. Joey Todd Officiating burial to follow. Expressions of sympathy can be made in the form of contributions to the Muhlenberg County Humane Society.
