February 4, 1944 - December 7, 2024

CENTRAL CITY – Freda Higgs Hearld, age 80, of Central City, died, Saturday, December 7, 2024 at the Heartford House in Owensboro. Freda was born February 4, 1944, in Central City. She was a Ward Clerk at Muhlenberg Community Hospital and was an avid reader and might average 5-7 books per week at the Central City Library. In later life, she found her books by reading her kindle. Freda loved to fish and spend time in the Smokies. She was a graduate of Central City High School and member of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents J.C. and Hazel Higgs.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons Glen (Tarina) Browning of Central City and Matt Hearld of Owensboro, granddaughter, Monica Browning and a great granddaughter, Braylee Buchanan of Ft. Myers, FL; sister, Carolyn (Cecil) Arnold of Central City.
