DRAKESBORO – Freda Mae Bratcher Farmer, 90, formerly of 547 Jacksontown Road, Drakesboro, KY, passed away on September 25, 2010 at Deaconness Gateway Hosptal in Evansville, Indiana. Freda was born August 14, 1920, on a houseboat on Green River at Livermore, KY and was the daughter of the late James Meridith Bratcher and Bertha LeGrand Bratcher. Freda was married to the late Albert Lee Farmer on September 12, 1936. Freda was a Homemaker and mother of 8 children and was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses in Central City. Freda attended the Senior Citizen Center in Powderly, KY. Freda was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Lee Farmer, one stepson Jordon Lee Farmer, three sons James Albert Farmer, Robert “Bobby” Earl Farmer, Willis “Bill” Layman Farmer, two brothers Getty Bratcher and Earl Bratcher and one sister Lovell Bratcher Conway. Survivors include a brother, Kenneth Bratcher of Drakesboro, KY; two sisters, Gracie Bratcher Palminteri of Cicero, IL and Lois Bratcher Browning of Weir, KY; two sons, Charles Edward “Eddie” Farmer (Thelia) of Owensboro, KY and Danny Lynn Farmer (Rohanda) of Bremen, KY; three daughters, Annie Mae Farmer Ptaszek (Mitch) of Rock Hill, South Carolina, Sheila Frances Farmer Smith (Lewis) formerly of Evansville, IN now of Marion, KY, and Mary Madeline Farmer Todd (Charles), 22 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at Tucker Funeral Home, Central City, KY on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at 10:00AM with Brother Ron Cary officiating. Burial will be at the Nelson Creek Cemetery in Muhlenberg County. Friends may visit with the Farmer family from 4:00PM to 8:00PM on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City.
