CENTRAL CITY – Franklin Hickerson, 69, of Central City, died Friday, January 27, 2012 at 4:30AM at Owensboro Medical Health System. Mr. Hickerson was born July 14, 1942 in Gibson, Illinois. He was a machine operator at Brewer Saw Mill and was a member of Fairview Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed woodworking. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Franklin Hickerson and Jessie Edmonds Caswell Hickerson; sister Opal Whitmer; and brother James “Sonny” Hickerson. Survivors include his wife, Margaret Payton Hickerson; daughters Vickey Turner of Owensboro and Shelia Hickerson (fiance’ Tommy Simpson) of South Carrollton; grandchildren Brandon (Destra) Hickerson and Hillary Turner; and sisters Doris (Dick) Allen, Lucille Godsey, and Joyce Erwin, all of Illinois. Funeral services will be Monday, January 30, 2012 at 1:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Leroy Rearden officiating. Visitation will be Monday after 11:00AM at the funeral home.
