GREENVILLE – Foster Earl Brewer, Jr., 88, of Greenville, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at his home after a lengthy illness. Earl was born December 25, 1922 near Depoy to Foster Earl Brewer Sr. and Verona Short Brewer. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years, Betty Jane Brewer; a brother, Courtland Brewer; a sister, Edna Green; and two foster brothers, Ben and George Gupton. He was a member of the Vernal Grove Missionary Baptist Church, a World War II Veteran having served in the Coast Guard on the USS Mintaka in the Pacific Theater. He was a farmer and retired from Pinkerton Security Co. Survivors include two sons, Jimmie (Pat) Brewer of Greenville and Dr. Wesley Brewer of Louisville; two daughters, Judi Embery of Greenville, who was also his caregiver, and Susie (JC) Lynch of Greenville. Grandchildren and Great-grandchildren include: Donita Schink and son Braxton, Jason (Sarah) Lynch and sons Mason, Nate, and Gus, all of Greenville, Jamie Lynch Miller (Jeff) and sons Jax and Jett of Dawson Springs, Nathan (Karla) Embery of Pittsburg, PA, Michael (Christina) Brewer and children Heather, Tyler, and Emily of Chicago, and Frank (Karen) Brewer of Owensboro. He is also survived by a brother, Larkins Brewer of Greenville; three sisters, Ree Bohan of Greenville, Henrietta (Billy) Adcock of Nashville, TN, and Annie Laurie Newman of Winfield, TN; sister-in-law Laura Brewer of Greenville; brother-in-law Ray Green of Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Thursday, June 30, 2011 at 2:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, conducted by Bro. Jerry Eades and Bro. Kenneth Johnston. Burial in Vernal Grove Cemetery near Depoy.
