CENTRAL CITY – Eva Jean Turley, 85, of Central City, died Thursday, March 1, 2012 at her home. Mrs. Turley was born December 22, 1926 in Muhlenberg County. She was owner of Turley Transfer for over 30 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Central City. She was preceded in death by her husband, L.J. Turley. Survivors include her son, Clarence “Eddie” Mitchell of Central City; daughter Danna and husband Ken Christman of Athens, TN; step-children Lonnie and wife Kathy Turley of Central City and Rick and wife Lori Turley of Central City; grandchildren Amy and husband Chad Goodin of Athens, TN, Eric and wife Mimi Christman of Georgia, and Chad and wife Erin Christman of Georgia; step-grandchildren Bryan and wife Niki Turley of Elon, NC, Leslie and husband Matt Wright of Soddy-Daisy, TN, Elizabeth and husband Joseph Fisher of Hendersonville, TN, Ross Galloway of Owensboro, Grant Turley of Central City, and Angie and husband Shawn Freeles of Madisonville; six great-grandchildren; and 3 step-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Sunday, March 4, 2012 at 2:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Dr. Kevin Brown officiating, assisted by Betty Ann Shaver. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 5-8PM at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Green River Hospice or First United Methodist Church of Central City.
