Eva Mae Harper CENTRAL CITY — Eva Mae Harper, 90, of Central City died at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2010, at her home. She was born May 17, 1920, in Muhlenberg County. She was a factory worker, a member of First United Methodist Church in Central City and a member of Greenville Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernie R. Harper; and her parents, Joe and Annie Cox. Survivors include three daughters, Kay H. Vincent of Graham, Connie H. Emerson of Orlando, Fla., and Denise Stringer of Central City; two sisters, Marcella Buchheit of Valparaiso, Ind., and Vera Dreifuss of New York; grandchildren J.J. Stringer, Melanie Barnes, DeWayne Rice, Karon Whitaker and Paula Short; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Services are private. J.J. Stringer will officiate.
