Eva Mae Harper CENTRAL CITY — Eva Mae Harper, 90, of Central City died at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2010, at her home. She was born May 17, 1920, in Muhlenberg County. She was a factory worker, a member of First United Methodist Church in Central City and a member of Greenville Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernie R. Harper; and her parents, Joe and Annie Cox. Survivors include three daughters, Kay H. Vincent of Graham, Connie H. Emerson of Orlando, Fla., and Denise Stringer of Central City; two sisters, Marcella Buchheit of Valparaiso, Ind., and Vera Dreifuss of New York; grandchildren J.J. Stringer, Melanie Barnes, DeWayne Rice, Karon Whitaker and Paula Short; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Services are private. J.J. Stringer will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Central City. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana, 317 Park Plaza Drive, Owensboro, KY 42301.
