GREENVILLE – Ella Ezell “Tootsie” Davis, 71, of Greenville, entered into eternal rest with her savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, January 21, 2017, at home with family. She was born in Drakesboro on March 17, St. Patrick’s day of 1945. She was a cashier at Stewart’s IGA, became an underground coal miner for Peabody Coal Co., and went on to retire as a seamstress with Flynn Corp. in Central City. She was also a member of Drakesboro Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mildred Yonts Ezell and William “Bill” Ezell. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Phillip Davis; children William Jonathan Wayne Davis and Sarah Emilee Marie Campbell, both of Greenville; sisters Charlet (Charlie) Fuller of Madisonville and Maxine (George) Mohon of Owensboro; grandchildren who were the love of her life, Kylee, Shaylee, Jonathan, Farrah, and Hallee; and several nieces and nephews. To not mention her mother-in-law and caregiver, Phyllis D. Allen, would be amiss. Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 25, 2017, at 3:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City.
