CENTRAL CITY – Elizabeth Faye Wiggins, 79, of Central City died Sunday, May 17, 2026 at 6:30PM at her residence. Ms. Wiggins was born in Central City on November 24, 1946. She graduated from Central City High School and later worked for Central City Elementary School for 28 years as a Teacher’s Assistant and Receptionist. She was a member of Cherry Hill Missionary Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for many years. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, John Morton Keown; mother, Agnes Noffsinger; sisters, Patty Heflin, and Carole Ann Shemwell.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jerry Wiggins; daughters, Gloria (Dennis) Rose of Hopkinsville, and Kim (Martin) Stinson of Nashville, TN; son, Brian (Elisha) Wiggins of Central City; grandchildren, Tatum (Braxton) Burden, and Lillie and Charles Wiggins; great-grandson, Beckham Burden; and twin brother, William Keown of Central City.

Funeral services will be Friday, May 22, 2026 at 11AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Bro. Leroy Rearden officiating. Burial in Cherry Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-8PM and Friday after 8AM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.

Elizabeth was one of the nicest lady's you could ever meet. She was such a caring lady. The kids at grade school thought so much of her and she did them. She touched so many kids lives during her time at school. My son seth thought the world of her. I am keeping the family and friends in my prayers and to ask for comfort in the days wks snd months to come.

Elizabeth was one of the nicest ladies you would want to ever meet. She was so caring . I know the grade school children loved her to death. She was so good with them . My son seth adored her. Her daughter Bratle and I were good friends used to play together some as children. All of yall are in my prayers that God will comfort you family and friends in the days wks and months to come. You will be in my prayers .
