BREMEN – Edward Darrell “Mousey” Payton, 82, of Bremen, went home to be with his Lord and Saviour on Sunday, February 4, 2018, at 10:10PM under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. Mr. Payton was born February 28, 1935, to the late Nathan “Pete” and Annie Payton. He was of the Baptist faith and he loved his Lord. Darrell worked in logging, mining, and farming before he retired. He loved Red Sox baseball and UK basketball. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Norma Sue Warford Payton; sons Ricky (Kathy) Payton of Bremen, Randy Payton of Bremen, Dwight (Lisa) Payton of Sacramento, and Jeff Payton of Island; daughter Lisa (Les) Riley of Sacramento; grandchildren Angie Cain, Jeremy Payton, Darrell Wayne Payton, Amanda Crick, Kyle Payton, Ashley Crocker, Seth Harper, Kaleb Payton, Jessica Wellman, and Dylan Payton; 20 great-grandchildren; and brother Lyndell Payton of Bremen. Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at 11:00AM at Tucker Memorial Chapel in Sacramento, with Rev. Leroy Rearden officiating. Burial in Bethlehem Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-8PM at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Bethlehem Cemetery Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
